Project Description

The following case shows how we provided coaching for the client to develop their business.

Coaching differs from Consultancy – with Coaching we develop the client’s abilities to solve business problems themselves using a wide range of tools.

Who is the customer?

Kent Pest Management Ltd (https://www.kentpestmanagement.co.uk/) is a professional pest control business launched in 2019 by Matthew and Charlotte Homden.  The company is a member of the BPCA (British Pest Control Association). They are partnered with the charity, Hospices of Hope (https://www.hospicesofhope.co.uk/)

What were the customers goals?

KPM wanted to build a business which could provide a good, regular income. They did not want a large business requiring them to manage many employees but instead, a solid company with a ‘reputation that people can trust’. They were keen to grow the commercial side.

How did Kings Hill Marketing Consultancy satisfy those needs and help the customer meet their goals?

Kings Hill Marketing Consultancy explained how financial analysis of profit and income works and how they could use it to develop their business. We also discussed customer analysis, marketing and monitoring to help us see where we could make improvements and work out what growth and targets were realistically achievable.

Coaching included:

  • SWOT Analysis
  • Competitor Analysis
  • Customer Analysis
  • Development of Branding Strategy
  • B2C and B2B Marketing
  • Social Media Analysis and Strategy
  • Google Analytics Training
  • LinkedIn Strategy

How did Kings Hill Marketing Consultancy carry out the Coaching Programme?

Coaching meetings were arranged to fit with KPM’s schedule. We met both F2F and over Zoom. Goals were set and Accountability steps put in place to help them stay on track.

Impact of Accountability on Team/Business Performance

What are the long-term benefits for Kent Pest Management Ltd?

Kent Pest Management transformed from a sole trader to a limited company. They were incorporated on 15th November 2021 and became Kent Pest Management Ltd. They joined the BCPA (British Pest Control Association)  at the beginning of 2022.  They enjoyed both personal and business development with Charlotte becoming adept at networking and customer relationships whilst Matt grew the commercial contract side of the business. They have become well known and respected in the industry. They are enjoying new collaborations with individuals, businesses and corporates.

Coaching is designed to put a business in a position where they have confidence and knowledge to grow. Charlotte commented : “we both feel that we have now been given the tools in the toolbox to have an understanding on what we need to do as a business and how we can market our brand for our pest control business.”

She added, “Thank you so much for being an amazing coach and a marketing consultant.  It has been awesome with your help and support to see our business progress forward with marketing and coaching.  We both have enjoyed working with you and will certainly miss you.”
